Sunset Golf Classic repeats as a great success

On May 16, the Durham Center for Senior Life held its third annual Sunset Golf Classic and Silent Auction to benefit DCSL’s programs and services for older adults. The morning kicked off with excitement with a breakfast by Emerald Pond, then 96 golfers hit the golf course. Golfers enjoyed
contests like a $5,000 putt for cash, guess the distance, and a $10,000 hole in one. When the golfing wrapped up around 2pm, the awards banquet and silent auction kicked off in full swing. 200 guests enjoyed live music, food by Firebirds and Thrills from the Grill, bucket raffles, and many silent auction items available for bidding. While the event was about raising funds for DCSL, it was also a lot of fun and guests enjoyed themselves immensely! Many thanks to the many sponsors who make the Sunset Golf Classic possible year after year, especially the presenting sponsors, Nurse Care of North Carolina and Hillcrest Convalescent Center!
